Background information about 'Exsequiis'
Australian thrash metal has always had a certain grit to it, and HARLOTT embody that raw, unpolished energy like few others. With Exsequiis, the band delivers their most focused and ferocious statement yet - a record that grabs you by the throat from the very first riff and doesn't let go until the final chord decays. This is thrash metal played with conviction, channeling the spirit of the 80s while injecting a modern sense of urgency and aggression.
The production on Exsequiis is absolutely killer - crunchy, razor-sharp guitars cut through a thunderous rhythm section, while the vocals spit venom with a controlled rage that feels both classic and fresh. Tracks like the opener hit with the force of a sledgehammer, blending breakneck speed with groove-laden mid-tempo sections that'll have your neck sore for days. There's a dark undercurrent running through this album, a sense of dread and defiance that elevates it above your average thrash revival record. HARLOTT aren't just going through the motions - they're breathing new life into a genre that too often relies on nostalgia.
