HARROWED · The Eternal Hunger | RED TAPE

Red music cassette. Limited to 50 copies.

Background information about 'The Eternal Hunger'

From the putrid sewers of Stockholm comes Harrowed, a maggot-ridden death metal entity that has crawled forth from the hallowed ashes of Swedish death metal outliers Morbus Chron. "The Eternal Hunger" marks their devastating full-length debut, a twisted mass of decomposing brutality that perfectly captures the essence of classic death metal while injecting it with a lethal dose of punk riffage and mind-bending weirdness. Vocalist/drummer Adam Lindmark has teamed up with guitarist Tobias Alpadie to create something truly harrowing – eight tracks of crushing riffs, doomsday drumming, and nightmarish horrors that will have you plunging head-first into the darkened abyss.

What sets "The Eternal Hunger" apart is its perfect balance of classic influences and modern madness. While clearly drawing from the wells of Autopsy, Entombed, Obituary, and Death Strike, Harrowed filter these influences through what can only be described as a garbage disposal of creativity. The production, handled by Robert Pehrsson (Death Breath, ex-Runemagick) at Studio Humbucker, achieves that rare feat of being both authentically physical and crystal clear, maintaining a vintage raw edge without falling into the trap of being another washed-out HM2 copy. With guest appearances from legends like Nicke Andersson and Scott Carlson, this is undeniably the real deal.
