Background information about 'To The North And Into Eternal Winter - Live In Darkness 1993-1995'

Step into the frozen wasteland of Norwegian black metal's most formative years with this absolutely essential live document. Immortal unleashed pure arctic fury during their legendary 1993 "Fuck Christ Tour" and 1995 "Battle Of The Ages Tour", and these raw fan-recordings capture every single moment of that primal intensity. This isn't some polished, sterile soundboard recording – it's the real deal, unfiltered and unapologetic, breathing with the savage energy that made black metal dangerous.

These recordings transport you back to a time when the scene was built on tape trading, underground dedication, and uncompromising conviction. Before the trends, before the marketing machine, before any compromise whatsoever. Immortal was carving their legend from the shadows, reshaping black metal with every blast beat and every frost-bitten riff. Restored and remastered by Patrick W. Engel at the Temple of Disharmony, this collection preserves a crucial piece of black metal history that will never return.
