Background information about 'Let There Be Witchery'
When Midnight unleashes their third full-length assault, you know you're in for something absolutely savage. "Let There Be Witchery" is pure blackened speed metal mayhem that'll leave your speakers smoking and your neighbors filing noise complaints. This Cleveland trio has perfected their formula of dirty, raw thrash that sounds like it was recorded in the depths of hell itself – and we wouldn't have it any other way.
The album tears through ten tracks of unrelenting brutality, with songs like "Telepathic Nightmare" and "Frothing Foulness" delivering exactly what their titles promise. Athenar's vocals sound like they've been dragged through broken glass while his guitar work channels the unholy spirit of early Venom and Bathory. The production maintains that perfectly grimy aesthetic that makes every riff feel like it's dripping with occult menace. This isn't music for the faint-hearted – it's a full-throttle ride through the darkest corners of extreme metal.
