Deluxe edition as double CD in casebound mediabook.

Background information about 'Death Above Life'

Orbit Culture have been on an absolute tear, and Death Above Life is the kind of record that makes you want to grab someone by the shoulders and yell, "Do you hear this?!" The Swedish outfit has always known how to balance crushing groove with melodic grandeur, but this Deluxe Edition takes everything to another level entirely. From the first down-tuned riff, you're locked in — there's a cinematic scope here that most bands can only dream of, the kind of widescreen metal that feels like it was engineered to shake stadium foundations while still hitting with the precision of a surgeon's scalpel.

What really gets me about this album is how seamlessly it moves between absolute devastation and those soaring, almost anthemic moments. Niklas Karlsson's vocals have evolved into something genuinely monstrous — his growls could level buildings, but those clean choruses? Pure earworms, the kind that burrow into your skull and refuse to leave. The production is massive, every kick drum hit feels like a punch to the chest, and the guitar tone is so thick you could spread it on toast. This Deluxe Edition expands the experience with bonus material that deepens the journey, making it the definitive version of an already essential modern metal record. The band has tapped into something primal here, fusing the mechanical precision of Gothenburg melodeath with the atmospheric weight of arena-ready metal, and the result is nothing short of exhilarating.
