Background information about 'Die Evil'
Satan's Wrath don't do half measures. With "Die Evil", the British blackened death metal horde delivers a record that feels like a ritualistic hammer blow to the senses. From the very first seconds of "Raised On Sabbaths", it's clear this is no exercise in atmospheric subtlety — this is raw, filthy, and unapologetically aggressive. The production is thick and punishing, with a bass tone that rumbles like a subterranean beast and vocals that sound like they're being vomited from the deepest pits of hell.
What makes "Die Evil" truly stand out is how it marries the primitive fury of old-school black metal with the groove and swagger of classic death metal. Tracks like "Satanic War" and "Diabolical Shudder" churn with a malevolent energy that's impossible to ignore, while "Coffinlust" and "Castle Of Torment" bring a slower, doom-laden weight that crushes rather than blasts. The band wears its influences on its sleeve — Venom, Bathory, early Sodom — but injects enough personality to avoid sounding like mere worship. This is an album that breathes fire, smoke, and sulphur.
