On their fourth album, "Landkrieg," Scalpture unleashes a relentless assault of Death Metal precision, driven by themes of historical warfare. The band delves into the Thirty Years' War, painting vivid scenes of devastation across the German lands from 1618 to 1648. Their sound has been honed through extensive touring and studio time, resulting in an album that's both brutal and engaging, offering moments of variation amidst its crushing intensity.

Formed in Bielefeld in 2009 by guitarist Felix Marbach, Scalpture has always pursued a classic Death Metal sound while striving for a unique identity. Their lyrics are grounded in meticulous historical research, eschewing glorification in favor of stark reality. Despite their war-centric themes, Scalpture advocates for modern values like tolerance and peace. "Landkrieg" challenges listeners to either surrender or embrace its head-banging ferocity.
