SLAYER · The repentless killogy Live | BLURAY

Live recording of 2017 Los Angeles show with amazing stage set up.

Background information about 'The repentless killogy Live'

There is a moment, somewhere in the middle of this Los Angeles night, when the whole room stops pretending. Slayer had already said goodbye to the road, but on this 2017 evening they played like a band with something left to prove, and the crowd answered with the kind of roar that only happens when a legend is standing right in front of you. The stage set is a beast in its own right, all fire and shadow and grim architecture, framing every riff like a monument. What you hear is not nostalgia. It is a machine still running at full throttle.

The setlist reads like a greatest-hits record that somehow still feels dangerous: "Delusions of Saviour" bleeding straight into "Repentless", then "The Antichrist", "Disciple", "Postmortem" and "Hate Worldwide" landing one after another without a breath. "War Ensemble" and "Mandatory Suicide" still hit like a fist, "Dead Skin Mask" still crawls under your skin, and by the time "South of Heaven", "Raining Blood", "Chemical Warfare" and "Angel of Death" close the night, you understand exactly why this band mattered for nearly four decades. Filmed and captured with real weight, this is the farewell document that actually earns the word.
