Background information about 'Protocol of Constant Sadness'

Tar Pond's debut album, "Protocol Of Constant Sadness," emerged from a series of transformative events that shaped its haunting soundscape. Initiated in 2017 under the guidance of esteemed producer Tommy Vetterli at NewSoundStudio, the album encapsulates the band's resilience following the tragic loss of bassist Martin Ain. Despite this devastating setback, Tar Pond forged ahead, blending somber melodies with introspective lyrics that resonate deeply with themes of grief and perseverance. Released independently in 2020, this record stands as a testament to their unwavering dedication.

The sonic journey within "Protocol Of Constant Sadness" explores a rich tapestry of emotions through tracks like "Damn" and "The Spirit," offering listeners a poignant reflection on life's darker moments balanced by glimmers of hope and introspection. Each composition is meticulously crafted, drawing from a diverse palette of musical influences that converge into an evocative auditory experience. This album not only marks an important chapter in Tar Pond's history but also serves as a tribute to enduring friendship and artistic vision.
