From the gritty opener Rough And Twisted to the sprawling, almost seven-minute closer Back In Your Life, the Stones serve up fourteen tracks of pure, unadulterated rock 'n' roll. There's a raw energy here that crackles through the speakers – Mick's snarling vocals are as sharp as ever, Keith's riffs cut like a blade, and the rhythm section locks in with that effortless, menacing groove only these guys can muster. The guest list reads like a who's who of rock royalty: Steve Winwood, Benmont Tench, and even a cover of Chuck Berry's Beautiful Delilah that closes the album with a perfect, raucous bow. Tracks like Jealous Lover and Never Wanna Lose You have that classic Stones swagger, while Ringing Hollow and Side Effects show a darker, more introspective edge. The band sounds hungry, loose, and utterly in love with making music – and it's infectious. This is the Stones doing what they do best: sounding like no one else on earth.
