Background information about 'Stigma Diabolicum'

The early recordings of THORNS and their predecessor STIGMA DIABOLICUM stand as some of the most legendary and influential works within the Norwegian black metal scene. These recordings encompass Luna De Nocturnus demo (1991) and rehearsal tapes from STIGMA DIABOLICUM, alongside the seminal demos "Grymyrk" (1991) and "Trøndertun" (1992) by THORNS. Snorre Ruch, also known as Blackthorn, is widely regarded as the pioneer of the Nordic black metal guitar sound. This sound combined with conceptual contributions from MAYHEM's Øystein "Euronymous" Aarseth laid down the sonic foundation for what would become a global phenomenon. Handmade in Athens, this release offers a dive into history with its unique presentation.
