Jewelcase CD in O-Card with bonus tracks.

Background information about 'Pilgrim'

Following the impressive debut "Abysmal", THRON returned in 2020 with "Pilgrim", a sophomore album that proved the band was no one-album wonder. The album title speaks to its conceptual ambition – this is music about journeys, both physical and spiritual, through landscapes of ice and fire. From the opening notes, it's clear that THRON have grown as songwriters without losing what made them special. The tremolo-picked melodies soar higher than before, the arrangements more confident, and mastermind N.'s vision more fully realized. Each track feels like a chapter in an epic tale, building and releasing tension with masterful control.

What makes "Pilgrim" stand out is its emotional depth. Black metal at its best has always been about more than aggression – it's about transcendence, about touching something beyond the mundane. THRON understand this completely. The album features some of their most melodically rich material, with guitar leads that lodge themselves in your memory long after the record ends. Yet it never sacrifices heaviness for accessibility; the blast beats hit hard, and the atmosphere remains thick with frost and darkness. This O-Card CD edition with bonus tracks represents the definitive version of a landmark release in German black metal.
