Background information über 'Harmr'

THURNIN's third album "Harmr" emerges from deep feelings of grief borne from love. The title is an Old Norse term that translates to 'sorrow.' Experiencing the loss of a beloved companion, especially multiple, is a burden heavy to bear. Thus, minor tones and slow tempos dominate "Harmr," more so compared to its predecessor "Útiseta" (2023), which explored the mystical tradition of 'sitting outside,' seeking communion with nature. In this third offering, THURNIN's melancholic dreamscape continues on a darker path, yet glimpses of hope, tender memories, and beauty remain. Jurre Timmer crafted these musical narratives starting with his debut album "Menhir" (2021), which quickly became a YouTube sensation. As winter ends and spring begins to warm the northern hemisphere, THURNIN opens another portal into their dream world. Though born from sorrow, "Harmr" offers healing through solace and care.
