Lowest Form is the sound of a band deciding that subtlety was never part of the deal. 200 STAB WOUNDS come out of Cleveland swinging, and this record lands like a boot to the teeth — thick, filthy, and absolutely locked in. The riffs are built on that classic death metal chassis, but there's a hardcore punk snarl running underneath everything, that restless, sweaty energy of a basement show where the floor is already cracking. Nothing here overstays its welcome; the songs hit, they bruise, and they get out of the way before you can catch your breath.
What makes it stick is the groove. These guys understand that the heaviest moment isn't always the fastest one — sometimes it's the riff that just keeps grinding while the drums push everything forward. The production keeps the low end nasty and the guitars razor-sharp, so the whole thing feels like it's breathing right next to you. It's ugly in the best possible way, the kind of record that makes you want to turn it up until the neighbors start filing complaints.
