Background information about 'Abramelin'
ABRAMELIN's self-titled 1995 debut is nothing short of a cornerstone in the Australian Death Metal scene. This is the record that put the land Down Under firmly on the brutal map, delivering some of the heaviest riffs ever carved out of the underground. The deranged lyrics brim with unbridled brutality and violence, and the sheer ferocity of tracks like "Misfortune" and "Grave Ideals (Nekromaniak)" hits you like a freight train from the very first second.
Back in 1995, while the Florida scene and the Swedish wave were busy morphing into new shapes, Abramelin chose a different path — simply get heavier, louder, and more punishing. And by those standards, this debut delivers on every single level. It's raw, it's filthy, it's relentless. Now available again on vinyl, this long overdue re-issue finally brings back a true underground classic from one of Australia's most overlooked Death Metal bands. If you've been chasing this one for years, your patience has just paid off.
