Background information about 'Void'

Craft have always understood that true black metal isn't about polish or production gloss — it's about the cold, creeping dread that crawls under your skin and refuses to leave. With "Void", the Swedish horde deliver one of the most suffocating statements of their career, a record that sounds less like it was written and more like it was excavated from somewhere dark and forgotten.

From the very first notes of "Intro (John's Nightmare)", you know you're not in for an easy ride. This is black metal stripped to its raw, festering core, where every riff lands like a hammer blow and the atmosphere is thick enough to choke on. Tracks like "Serpent Soul" and "Come Resonance of Doom" are pure misanthropic fury, propelled by relentless drumming and vocals that sound torn from the throat of something inhuman. Yet beneath the savagery, there's a grim sense of melody that keeps pulling you back in — the kind of hooks that don't comfort you, they just drag you deeper into the abyss.

The second half is where "Void" truly earns its name. "Leaving the Corporal Shade" and "I Want to Commit Murder" are exercises in pure nihilistic weight, while "Bring On the Clouds" and the closing title track collapse into a funeral-paced crawl that feels like the world slowly turning to ash. This is music for the void itself — unflinching, unforgiving and utterly devoid of hope. And that's precisely the point.
