This collection captures the Norwegian legends during their transition from death metal to the black metal sound that would define them. The "Land Of Frost" demo from 1988 showcases their raw, unpolished beginnings with tracks like "Forest Of Darkness" and "Day Of The Dead" revealing the band's early fascination with dark atmospherics and brutal riffing.
