The East Anglian trio has deliberately stepped back from the dense arrangements of their previous work to create something more organic and breathing. Where "Monuments to Absence" thundered with relentless intensity, this new chapter allows space for their blackened visions to unfold naturally, recorded largely live to capture that essential human pulse beneath the atmospheric darkness.

The album's six tracks—from the glacial opener "Glacier" to the haunting moorland finale "Moor"—form a perfect synthesis of their black metal roots and post-black innovations. Each piece flows like morning mist over the fenlands, carrying whispers of ancient spirits bound to English soil. The band's lyrical vision speaks of endless grey days, twilight realizations, and the quiet endurance of existential sorrow. Yet within this bleakness lies something transcendent, a journey through "grim bogs, languid waterways, and dismal fogs" that ultimately offers release from the endless ennui.
