Philadelphia's Heavy Temple returns with their sophomore full-length "Garden Of Heathens", a stunning evolution from their 2021 debut "Lupi Amoris". Recorded at Animal Farm Studio with John Forrestal, the album boasts a rich, warm organic sound that's simultaneously crisp and crystalline. Thematically, "Garden Of Heathens" finds frontwoman High Priestess Nighthawk delivering her most personal lyrics yet, exploring things that aren't real - from the American Dream to relationships. Beneath the shiny surface lurk anxiety, betrayal and doubt, creating a compelling narrative tension. While Nighthawk's powerful vocals provide gravitational pull, Heavy Temple remains fundamentally a riff-first band, expanding their sonic palette to encompass influences ranging from Baroness to The Beatles, Black Sabbath to Fu Manchu.
