Five years in the making, "Legacy" represents a massive leap forward for Ihlo, showcasing their evolution from promising newcomers to a confident powerhouse in the UK's modern prog scene. This ambitious second album follows their acclaimed 2019 debut "Union", which topped Bandcamp's Progressive Metal chart and earned widespread praise across the prog community. Written collaboratively by Andy Robison, Phil Monro & Clark McMenemy through a blend of remote writing sessions and focused studio work, the album captures the band's creative maturity beautifully.

Recorded partly at The Arch Studios in Southport - a breathtaking space within a 140-year-old restored church - "Legacy" benefits from stunning natural acoustics that give the drums an organic immediacy that's simply captivating. The ten new tracks drift seamlessly between shimmering ambient passages and tightly wound rhythmic propulsion, creating a dynamic sonic journey. Where "Union" hinted at their influences, "Legacy" speaks entirely in Ihlo's own voice: ambitious without excess, richly melodic yet never predictable. Lyrically, the album casts a thoughtful eye on our near-future, exploring themes of hollow technological advancement driven by profit rather than genuine purpose.
