Background information about 'Heimdal'

Few bands have managed to keep reinventing themselves across three decades the way Enslaved have. With "Heimdal", the Norwegians once again prove that progressive extreme metal can be both razor-sharp and breathtakingly expansive. Named after the guardian of the Bifröst bridge in Norse mythology, the album feels like a journey between worlds — one foot in the primal, icy fury of their black metal roots, the other striding boldly into vast, psychedelic prog territory.

Tracks like "Congelia" and "Forest Dweller" hit with that unmistakable Enslaved groove, while "The Eternal Sea" and the monumental title track "Heimdal" unfurl into sweeping, almost cinematic soundscapes. The production is thick and organic, letting every riff breathe while the vocals shift between guttural roars and haunting clean passages.
