Background information about 'Cycle Of Contempt'
Canadian thrash legends Razor return with vengeance on "Cycle Of Contempt", their first studio album in over two decades. This isn't just a comeback – it's a declaration of war against everything soft and sanitized in modern metal. The band's signature razor-sharp riffs slice through tracks like "Flames Of Hatred" and "First Rate Hate" with the same ferocity that made them underground heroes in the '80s. Dave Carlo's vocals remain as acidic as ever, spitting venom over relentless drumming and bass lines that could level buildings.
What makes this album truly special is how Razor manages to sound both timeless and urgent. Songs like "Off My Meds" and the title track showcase a band that never forgot how to write hooks that stick like barbed wire in your brain. The production is crisp enough to let every instrument breathe while maintaining that raw edge that separates real thrash from the pretenders. This is 44 minutes of pure adrenaline that proves some bands never lose their bite – they just sharpen it over time.
