Background information about 'IV / The Eerie Cold'
The fourth chapter in Shining's relentless journey through the darkest corridors of human despair, "IV / The Eerie Cold" stands as a monument to depressive black metal mastery. Originally unleashed in 2005, this Swedish outfit's most haunting creation receives the royal treatment it always deserved – newly remastered by the legendary Andy La Rocque, breathing fresh life into every tortured note and anguished scream.
This isn't just another reissue; it's a sonic resurrection that elevates Shining's already devastating emotional warfare to unprecedented heights. The band's signature blend of suicidal themes and crushing atmospheres reaches its zenith here, with tracks that burrow deep into your psyche and refuse to let go. The remastering process has unveiled layers of nuance that were buried in the original mix, making this the definitive version of a true black metal classic.
