Untitled With Drums don't do easy. Hailing from Clermont-Ferrand, France, this four-piece has spent a decade carving out a space for alt rock that refuses to play it safe. Their debut "Hollow" already earned them slots at Hellfest and Nuits de Fourvière, but "Made Flesh" is where the whole thing sharpens into something dangerous.
Ten tracks, each delivered in the first person, each turning the lens on a different corner of the human psyche — the need to dominate, the comfort of denial, the sting of watching someone else get away with it. It's satirical but never detached; the band inhabits these states rather than observing them from a distance. Lucas D.'s guitar work shifts between weight and texture without falling into patterns, Nicolas Z.'s synthesizers have become a structural force rather than mere atmosphere, and Rémy D.'s drumming holds the chaos together with surgical precision. Martin L.B.'s vocals carry an emotional charge that gives even the darkest moments their sting. Recorded in a small town near Clermont-Ferrand and shaped by producer Cyrille Gachet into something harder than anyone initially expected, "Made Flesh" is an album that bears its scars proudly.
