Background information about '...And Don´t Deliver Us From Evil'
Forgotten Tomb's "And Don't Deliver Us From Evil" is an evocative journey through the somber landscapes of depressive black metal. With an unrelenting atmosphere that merges the raw intensity of black metal with the profound melancholy of doom, this album captures a unique spirit of despair and introspection. The haunting opening track, "Deprived," sets a poignant tone with its mournful melodies and visceral vocal delivery. The title track continues this journey, enveloping listeners in a soundscape both oppressive and cathartic.
Recorded at Elfo Studio in Italy and mastered at Finnvox Studios in Finland, the sonic quality is pristine yet retains a raw edge that enhances its emotional weight. Forgotten Tomb further showcases their adeptness with tracks like "Cold Summer" and "Let's Torture Each Other," highlighting their ability to weave intricate soundscapes that are both sonically heavy and deeply emotive. Ending with an exclusive cover of Joy Division's "Transmission," this album stands as a testament to the band's versatility and depth.
