Hulder returns with their sophomore full-length, and holy hell, this one hits different. Ten tracks across forty minutes that lock together like a flawless ritual, moving from blast-beaten fury into moments of near-ceremonial stillness with a confidence that's frankly intimidating.

The guitars are thunderous and low, the tremolo lines melodic without ever losing their edge. And the synth work? It's not plastered on top — it's woven right into the fabric, an atmospheric layer that deepens rather than distracts. "Hearken the End" is the undeniable anchor: a waltz-paced, almost hypnotic beast where clean vocals bleed into controlled ferocity without the seam ever showing. The two interludes, "Lamentation" and "An Offering", serve as genuine breathing space — meditative, strange, unsettling in the best way — before the closing stretch reasserts the assault. Mixed by Ahti Kortelainen at Tico Tico Studio in Finland, the production lets every element carry its weight without compression flattening the dynamics. This is black metal that breathes.
