The eight tracks showcase the band at their most unhinged and primal, with founder Morok crafting hymns that feel like they were forged in the darkest corners of the Russian tundra.
The production captures that raw, early Norwegian essence perfectly, but there's something distinctly Russian about this brutality – a kind of desperate, inhuman quality that sets it apart from its Scandinavian influences.
