Primordial's debut full-length "Imrama" stands as a towering monument to Celtic black metal, a raw and uncompromising journey through ancient Irish folklore and pagan mysticism. Originally released in 1995, this masterwork showcases the Dublin quintet at their most primal and atmospheric, weaving together crushing black metal riffs with haunting Celtic melodies that echo through the mists of time. The album's title, meaning "voyage" in Old Irish, perfectly captures the epic scope of this musical odyssey.

From the opening assault of "Fuil Ársa" to the epic closing statement of "Awaiting The Dawn," Primordial delivers a relentless barrage of emotion and power. A.A. Nemtheanga's distinctive vocals soar above the maelstrom, shifting from guttural growls to clean, passionate proclamations that speak of ancient battles and forgotten gods. The production maintains that essential rawness that made early 90s black metal so captivating, while allowing every crushing riff and thunderous drum beat to cut through with devastating clarity. This reissue includes four crucial bonus tracks from their "Dark Romanticism" demo, offering fans a complete picture of Primordial's early creative fire.
