Background information about 'Dema'
Czech black metal titans Root unleash their demonic legacy with "Dema", a thunderous collection that captures the raw essence of underground metal's most uncompromising era. This isn't just another compilation – it's a portal into the forbidden realms where Root forged their unholy sound during the dying days of communist oppression. When Big Boss and Blackosh first struck their pact in 1988, they had no idea they were about to birth one of black metal's most distinctive voices.
The four legendary demos compiled here showcase Root's evolution from primitive thrash savagery to the sophisticated darkness that would define their legacy. From the eerie acoustic interludes to Dr. Fe's haunting Czech incantations, every track pulses with that unmistakable Root atmosphere that influenced countless bands across the globe. When Big Boss finally claimed the microphone for "The Trial", the band's destiny was sealed in blood and fire.
