This triple vinyl beast chronicles the legendary Czech band's first four groundbreaking demos from 1988-1990, those crucial formative years when Big Boss and Blackosh were literally forging Black Metal behind the Iron Curtain while risking imprisonment for their art. What makes this collection so damn special is hearing Root evolve from raw, primitive beginnings into the unmistakable force they became.

The journey through these demos is nothing short of mesmerizing - you get those early Dr. Fe vocal performances mixing Czech incantations with movie samples, creating this eerie, off-kilter atmosphere that still sounds alien today. But it's when Big Boss takes over vocals on "The Trial" that everything clicks into place, revealing the blueprint for Root's future greatness. Patrick W. Engel's restoration work from the original tapes is phenomenal, bringing new life to these historical recordings while preserving their raw, underground essence.
