Background information about 'Guardians'
"Guardians" by Saor is a powerful amalgamation of atmospheric folk and black metal, capturing the rugged beauty and tumultuous history of Scotland. The album features epic compositions that blend traditional instruments like bagpipes and fiddles with the raw intensity of black metal, creating a soundscape both haunting and majestic. Each track is steeped in lyrical themes drawn from Scottish poetry and history, providing an immersive narrative that speaks to the soul's longing for connection with heritage and land.
This remixed and remastered edition enhances the sonic depth of the original release, offering listeners an enriched auditory experience. With tracks like "The Declaration" and "Tears Of A Nation," Andy Marshall's project continues to explore themes of national identity and personal reflection. The addition of the bonus demo track "Dawn Of Heroes" serves as a testament to Saor's evolving sound while staying true to its core ethos. This album is a must-listen for fans of Winterfylleth, Panopticon, and Agalloch.
