Background information about 'Lots Of Girls Gonna Get Hurt (Re-Release)'
Shining's EP "Lots Of Girls Gonna Get Hurt" is a bold exploration of emotional depth, veering away from their traditional Black Metal roots into a more experimental realm. This release showcases the band's ability to merge haunting melodies with melancholic lyrics, producing a soundscape that's both intense and introspective. The inclusion of covers like "For My Demons" and "Carnival Of Rust" adds layers of complexity and pays homage to the original artists while infusing them with Shining's distinctive touch.
The EP's somber themes are further emphasized by its dedication to Lisa Lennartsson, adding a personal layer that resonates with the listener. Tracks such as "Utan Dina Andetag" and "Ohne Dich" delve into realms of loss and longing, underpinned by the stark beauty of string arrangements that underscore Elias Holmlid's contributions. While rooted in Doom Metal aesthetics, this release transcends genre boundaries, offering an immersive experience for those willing to explore its depths.
