Product information "WALDGEFLÜSTER · Ruinen | MULTI-COLORED 2LP"

Multi-colored double vinyl in gatefold cover.

Background information about 'Ruinen'

Nearly a decade after its original release, "Ruinen" stands as Waldgeflüster's most emotionally resonant masterpiece – a haunting meditation on decay, nostalgia, and the inexorable passage of time. This 2016 opus marked a pivotal evolution for the German atmospheric black metal collective, transcending genre boundaries with breathtaking audacity and poetic grace.

From the opening devastation of "Die Ruine als Schmuck" to the melancholic grandeur of "Aschephönix", this album weaves together atmospheric black metal, folk introspection, doom-laden passages, and post-metal expansiveness into something utterly transcendent. The sweeping majesty of "Trümmerfestung" crashes against the haunting serenity of "Ruinenfelder", creating a dynamic emotional landscape that mirrors the album's central themes of human fragility and natural decay. Waldgeflüster crafts each composition with unhurried deliberation, allowing melodies to breathe and emotions to fully unfold across these eight profound tracks.

For fans of:
Panopticon, Falls Of Rauros, Anathema, Agalloch, Drudkh
