Background information about 'Beswærilsin'
Shamaatae has never been a man for half measures, and "Beswærilsin" makes that brutally clear from the first tremolo line. Everything released under the Arckanum banner is an extension of his Thursian practice, and this record treats music, lyrics, sound and artwork as one single ritual working rather than a collection of songs. It is a complete magical operation pressed into wax, and you can feel the intent in every unpolished second.
The production here is feral on purpose. Nothing is smoothed over, nothing is decorated for comfort. The guitars move between the freezing storms of Niflheimr and the blazing fury of Múspellsheimr, and the result is both cold and searing at once, primitive yet far more dynamic than anything the project has offered before. The lyrics, written in Old Swedish and drawing on Old Norse and Swedish poetic tradition as well as svartkonst, work as mythic charms and narrative incantations rather than conventional verses. It is the sound of the outsider, the vargar, standing deliberately beyond imposed order and conventional morality, and it never once asks for your approval.
