Despite a turbulent inception that involved legal disputes and lineup changes, Cradle Of Filth's EP "V Empire or Dark Faerytales in Phallustein" stands as a testament to their resilience. Released initially in 1996 following the massive success of their debut album, this almost-album-length EP showcases the band's ability to overcome adversity with grandeur. With tracks like a revamped version of "The Forest Whispers My Name," it arguably surpasses its predecessor by weaving even richer tapestries of symphonic black metal.

Now remastered from the original DAT by Patrick W. Engel at TEMPLE OF DISHARMONY in January 2025, the record is once again available after years of anticipation. This reissue includes new liner notes by Olivier 'Zoltar' Badin and is presented with care for both new fans and long-time admirers alike.
